For the project BCM net V&R developed together with its customer BOMAG a system for surface compaction control on asphalt construction sites and thus contributes to quality control in road construction. Real-time data readings of the degree of compaction of the asphalt are transmitted from the rolls to a central computer and fused to a total construction site image. The processed data is available for the site manager and roller drivers referenced with the positions of individual vehicles. Due to the integration of results during the construction work, necessary corrections can be made before the work is completed.
